At Beachlands Primary School, we respectfully walk together on a continuous journey of reconciliation honouring the deep histories, enduring cultures, and ongoing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, particularly the Nhanhagardi, Wilunyu and Naaguja peoples of the Jambinu (Geraldton) region. We are committed to creating a culturally safe and inclusive learning environment where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, staff and families feel seen, heard, and valued, and where all children learn to understand and appreciate the richness of First Nations cultures.
We embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives across our curriculum, celebrate cultures with authenticity, and strengthen identity through local language, storytelling, yarning circles, student-led Acknowledgements of Country, and meaningful connection to Country.
By working alongside families, Elders, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members, we listen deeply, collaborate genuinely, and co-design learning that reflects community voice and aspiration.
Together, we nurture a generation of learners who walk strong in two worlds, understand our shared history, and are committed to a future grounded in respect, equity, and cultural integrity.
