Herne Hill Primary School’s vision for reconciliation is to continue building a reconciled community through sustaining strong and genuine relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and the wider Australian community. Our school endeavours to respectfully engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ and authentically include First Nations peoples’ histories, cultures and perspectives into teaching and learning experiences, with the aim to increase awareness and respect of the oldest continuing cultures in the world, reduce prejudice, promote equality and equity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and staff and strengthen unity of all First Nations and non-Indigenous students, staff, families and the wider community.
