We believe in a reconciled Australia, where all Australians have a great sense of pride in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ histories and cultures. We believe Australia’s First Peoples’ cultures and continuing contributions are an integral part of who we are as Australians. We commit to actively respecting the wisdom and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples so that present and emerging generations can be enriched by the sharing of knowledge of the Lands, the Seas, the Sky and the Waterways, and the Lore that connects them all. We acknowledge that reconciliation must involve an understanding of justice, recognition and healing. Our heart is for greater understanding, learning and respect within our school community to continue to work towards a reconciled Australia. We need to build, and will commit to building, strong, authentic relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, in particular with the Peramangk peoples, who are the Custodians of the Land on which we learn, work and play. We also acknowledge neighbouring Language Groups and the connection they have had and continue to have on Peramangk Country.
