Saint Anthony's Catholic Primary School is a hope-filled, Christ-centred learning community, igniting hearts and minds to create a better world for all. Our vision for reconciliation is to foster visible, active and enduring respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, cultures and languages, through the building of genuine and respectful relationships with the First Nations community. Situated on Quandamooka Country, we are deeply committed to strengthening connections with the Traditional Custodians of the Land. We seek to honour their stories, experiences, and cultural knowledge by embedding our understandings and learnings of First Nations perspectives across our curriculum, pedagogy, and into the life of our school. We stive to build and maintain stronger, respectful relationships with local Elders and First Nations families. We support students and staff in deepening their understanding of the histories and lived experiences of the Quandamooka People. We promote equity and equality by creating a culturally safe, inclusive and understanding environment for all. - Through truth-telling, listening and learning, we walk together in the spirit of mercy, justice and reconciliation, committed to shaping a future where every voice is valued and every story is honoured.
