At St Joseph's, our vision for reconciliation embraces our charism of love, justice and humility guiding us to build a welcoming community which seeks authentic and positive relationships between First Nations peoples and non-Indigenous Australians. We will do this by building a culture of acknowledging, understanding, listening, truth telling, and sustainability of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and histories.
We acknowledge and recognise the unique place of the first sovereign Nations people of the Land that we call Australia and its adjacent islands, and we are committed to effect a holistic change in this country. We will promote understanding and reconciliation through our curriculum, iconography, liturgy and our sustainable practices.
As people of love, justice and humility we believe that we shape the future of our children and that by listening and truth telling we will build a unified and harmonious and reconciled Australia.
