Mordialloc Beach Primary School recognises that early education is a pathway to a reconciled nation. We understand that our journey towards advancing reconciliation is one of continuous learning, unlearning and relearning and we are committed to actively deepening our cultural awareness and responsiveness surrounding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, perspectives and cultures. Our vision for reconciliation is for all students, educators, teachers, families and the wider community to value and learn about the true histories and continuous cultures of the First Peoples of Australia. We will continue to cultivate an environment that holds the utmost respect for the First Peoples of Australia, through deepening our knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and perspectives, and supporting and working alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in our local community.
We will promote inclusive and collaborative learning opportunities that embrace our wider school community in the acknowledgement of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures. We will continue to promote a shared understanding of reconciliation. It is a shared responsibility by working alongside and listening to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We will be the change, allowing a place where we work in partnership with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples for unity and peace.
