Mordialloc Beach Primary School recognises that early education is a pathway to a reconciled nation. We understand that our journey towards advancing reconciliation is one of continuous learning, unlearning and relearning and we are committed to actively deepening our cultural awareness and competence surrounding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
Our vision for reconciliation is for all students, educators, teachers, families and the wider community to value and learn about cultures of Australia's First Peoples.
We will continue to cultivate an environment which holds the utmost respect for Australia's First Peoples; actioned through our increased knowledge, training, and through advocating against racism and discrimination. We will promote inclusive and collaborative learning opportunities that embrace our wider school community in the celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures. We will promote the understanding that reconciliation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples is the responsibility of all Australians. We will be the change; allowing a place where we work in partnership and peace.
