Together at Glen Waverley South Primary School, we aspire to become a culturally safe community where the histories, cultures, and perspectives of First Nations peoples and our school families are acknowledged and respected. We aim to work towards our reconciliation goals by strengthening our knowledge of embedding First Nations peoples histories, cultures, and perspectives into our teaching practices. This means developing a genuine culture of understanding that values the voices and experiences of First Nations peoples. We will support staff, students and the wider school community to learn and grow together in our shared understanding of the contributions of First Nations peoples to the country and be open to the fact that we won't always get things right the first time, striving to be open to learning and always trying to do better.
