At Eltham North Primary School, we continue to see reconciliation as a process of building, healing and deepening the relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians.
We are a community that continues to understand how to respect Country and First Nations peoples of Australia and acknowledge that they are the oldest living cultures on earth.
We continue to learn by listening to the local First Nations community and teaching about the truths of the past that help build a future that is equal and equitable for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and all people.
We will deepen our understanding of and respect for First Nations peoples and their connections to Country through our values, actions, and efforts.
We will actively listen to and continually make changes to work towards reconciliation in meaningful ways, and we are passionately embarking on the long journey that is reconciliation, to help create fairness, equity, equality and the opportunity for First Nations peoples to feel, and truly be, included, seen and heard and respected.
