St Michael's Primary School

At St. Michael’s we take inspiration from Our Lady of Perpetual Help, through our commitment to being a people of harmony. We endeavour to create a learning environment that recognises and values Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their rich cultures. We are committed to working in harmony with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to increase respect, reduce prejudice and strengthen unity.

Through curriculum, prayer and celebrations we acknowledge and respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories to foster a strong sense of connection, respect and understanding through our students and staff. We strive to shape our learners to be reflective of the past, proactive to the present and committed to a future where they can live, work and learn regardless of culture.

Our staff are lifelong learners who continually work towards deepening their own knowledge as well as student understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and perspectives, through innovative and exciting learning opportunities.

We are a people of harmony and challenge, whose dream is for a truly reconciled Australia where all people are treated with dignity, respect and fairness.
