VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Reconciliation at Casino Public School is providing inclusive and culturally significant learning opportunities for all students through working and supporting each other by fostering authentic relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the wider Australian community.

At Casino Public School we are committed to coming together as one, acknowledging the past and respecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures.

It is our vision for reconciliation for the members of our community to feel connected and welcome in our school. We will do this by honouring people through being respectful and truthful and showing strength in our connections whilst honouring the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, their significant cultures and histories and connections to the Land.

We will continually strive to build partnerships to value, respect and honour authentic relationships and partnerships to grow a school community where all families have a voice in the shared educational journey of our students.

We will plant the seeds of growth through education for significant social change to strengthen our students’ knowledge to use as power to create unity and living, reconciled culture.

Casino Public School will be a model for inclusivity, understanding and reconciliation within the wider community.
