Millers Forest Public School's vision for reconciliation is to acknowledge the history of our country including that of the Wonnorua Peoples. We are committed to working together towards a more respectful and equitable future. There is very little written history about the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples in what is currently known as Millers Forest. The latest data indicates that only 5% of Millers Forest population identifies as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander though Wonnorua Country is known to have been the meeting place of many groups of Aboriginal Peoples and our school has children from a range of areas. As a school we value the diverse experiences, histories and perspectives of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. Our vision is to collaboratively create a culturally safe, welcoming and inclusive learning environment, allowing students to fully engage and thrive in our school. We value the cultural knowledge of our community and endeavour to ensure we amplify the voices of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
