At Chalmers Road School reconciliation is a shared vision built on a school culture that values diversity and fosters positive relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We are working towards strengthening relationships between the Chalmers Road School community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in line with key themes of Relationships, Respect and Opportunities. We will provide continued opportunities for students and staff to deepen their knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students at Chalmers Road School will have equal and equitable educational opportunities and outcomes. This will be achieved through recognising the dynamic nature of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, cultures and histories and acknowledging their deep connections with lands, waters and and embed this recognition throughout our school community.
