Reconciliation acknowledges the past and works towards a shared future of knowledge, justice and peace. At St Lukes Grammar School we recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First and Continuing Custodians of Country and we seek to strengthen relationships, build unity and work together for a reconciled Australia.
As a school community we desire to learn with humility and seek a genuine relationship with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. We aim to reflect the Christian foundation of our school, where Christ is our light, and we in turn seek to become light to the community on the reconciliation journey.
This is demonstrated through authentic action in making our school a place where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples cultures and histories are respectfully embedded into our school life.
