Tempe Public School’s vision is to respectfully promote reconciliation. It is based on a shared understanding of Australia's true histories and that we should continue to acknowledge the past, be proud of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and of the Land on which we stand and that we do not repeat the same mistakes that have historically occurred.
We are committed to teaching students about the true history of Australia and instilling a sense of pride of First Nation peoples’ histories and cultures, so that generations can continue this reconciliation journey. Through education and respectfully engaging with the community, we will create meaningful connections and respect First Nations peoples’ histories, achievements and cherish significant dates.
Our vision emphasises respect and acknowledgement as fundamental values of reconciliation, which is crucial at the start of children's education. Tempe Public School provides an environment where First Nations students and non-Indigenous students feel safe and supported. We envisage a school where each student is empowered and proud of their identity and the land that they stand on today
