At Kirton Point Children's Centre we continue to provide a welcoming, culturally safe and responsive environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, children, families and community members.
Kirton Point Children's Centre provides opportunities for all educators, children and families to meaningfully acknowledge and participate programs aligned with reconciliation to deepen our understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and histories. We will continue to promote and model respectful relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the local community, everyone across our service, and the wider Australian community.
We continue to ensure everyone across our learning community has the opportunity to develop respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures, and an honest understanding of the true Australian histories. Doing so will enable us to live and grow as a community of practice and work in partnership with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community to continue moving meaningfully towards reconciliation.
