Goodstart Early Learning Albany is located in the Great Southern of Western Australia on Kinjarling Land. Our early learning centre is located on Noongar Boodja.
Our vision for reconciliation is grounded in our passion for learning, unlearning and relearning, about reconciliation in education, deepening our understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, and true histories. We as a team are consistently committed to ongoing awareness and respect for the First Peoples of Australia. We have strong, respectful relationships, and regular connections with the local Menang community, including Elders, local community members, and families. We will continue to respectfully embed the knowledges and cultures of the Land and of the Menang Noongar people into our curriculum, policies and daily routines of the centre. We acknowledge that our Reconciliation Action Plan is a work in progress that requires commitment and enthusiasm for continuous improvement. We are passionate about authentic engagement with our families and community to ensure our journey is one of authenticity, where we all, as one nation to thrive together.
