At Amaze Early Education Silkstone, we envision a future where reconciliation is woven into the fabric of our everyday practice. Through our program, daily routines, and centre celebrations, we are committed to fostering genuine respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, and histories. We believe reconciliation is built through relationships. We actively seek to collaborate with our local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members and organisations, building meaningful and respectful partnerships. Through these connections, we strive to create a culturally safe, inclusive environment where all children, families, and educators feel a strong sense of belonging and respect. Our service is located on the Lands of the Yuggera people, and we honour their enduring connection to Country. Through regular bush kindy experiences and engagement with the natural environment, we support children to develop an appreciation for the land, waterways, and First Nations ways of knowing, being, and doing. We value the role of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the first educators and Custodians of this Land and aim to embed this understanding respectfully across our learning environment. We recognise that reconciliation is an ongoing journey. As a service, we are committed to listening, learning, and reflecting, ensuring our practices continue to grow in ways that are meaningful, respectful, and responsive to our community.
