Richmond Creche and Kindergarten envisions an Australia grounded in equity, justice and genuine partnership between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and all Australians, and where diverse First Nations peoples, cultures, languages and histories are valued and respected, ensuring this remains central to our shared national identity.
We are committed to walking alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the local community, in the spirit of reconciliation. We honour the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which we learn and play and recognise their continuing connection to land, waters, culture and community.
We will continue to foster an inclusive and culturally responsive environment where the diversity, strength and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples is acknowledged and is strengthened through meaningful dialog and relationships.
Through meaningful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities, we will continue to engage in ongoing learning and reflective practice, to ensure we have the skills to respectfully embed reconciliation into our curriculum, policies and daily practices.
We will work with educators, children, families and the community to ensure there is a commitment to truth-telling, respect and action that supports a more just and united future for all.
