Collaroy Plateau Community Kindergarten

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our vision is to forge a partnership with Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Elders and people, to build a connection with local Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander community groups and organisations and to further our knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and the knowledge of the general preschool community. This will enable us to portray the image and the aspirations of all children to be able to grow up to be strong, proud and resilient. We aim to foster respect, understanding and admiration for the Traditional Custodians of the Land in Australia among our children, their families and the wider community.

We will continue to meaningfully include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives within the Preschool curriculum and work towards ensuring that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families know that our Preschool strives to be a welcoming place of respect and inclusion.
