K'gari (Secondary)

overview

Produced by SBS in collaboration with Butchulla artist Fiona Foley and academic Larissa Behrendt, K’gari is an innovative, interactive documentary. It debunks one of Australia’s first ‘fake news’ stories by exposing the largely untold Aboriginal version of events that led to the naming of Fraser Island. This activity encourages students to explore the K’gari interactive and work their way through a series of accompanying SBS Learn resources, developed in partnership with Reconciliation Australia.
