Grow Bushland Beach respects and recognises Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the First Peoples of Australia and as the Traditional Custodians of the Land where our services are offered. The vision we have for reconciliation is, for our education team to engage with reconciliation on both a personal and professional level. Educators and teachers will use this knowledge to create environments that respectfully include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives, and foster , equality and equity. Through our vision, we are creating foundations in which we will assist present and future generations to grow, value and recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and heritages as part of our shared identity. We, as educators, want to continue to create an environment for families to feel comfortable in sharing their cultures with the children to create a community of learners that fosters a respectful understanding of diverse perspectives. . Our education team will continue to take part in further professional learning to ensure we are sharing how reconciliation is important and what we are learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander knowledges with children and families, to ensure everyone feels valued and respected.
