VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

It is our vision as a centre that we grow our own understanding of reconciliation in recognition of the interrelated dimensions of reconciliation; historical acceptance; race relations; equality and equity; institutional integrity; and unity.

As a newly opened centre it is important that we first develop our shared understanding of reconciliation and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, including how we as a service promote reconciliation. First, we will ask ourselves the question of what reconciliation means to us and what this may look like in everyday operational practices.

It is our vision that we extend our sphere of influence both within the centre (including our children and families) and the wider community. As part of our vision we intend to work as a group in widening our understanding and sharing our extended vision of a reconciled Australia.
