VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Reconciliation creates a nation strengthened by respectful relationships between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

At Helping Hands Clinton our vision for reconciliation is for all Australians to embrace each other, and have a national culture that represents equality and equity, historical acceptance of our shared history and removal of negative race relations.

For Helping Hands Clinton this means equal and equitable educational opportunities and outcomes for the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, and an inclusive and diverse workplace that is culturally safe, culturally rich and proud. We are committed to working in a respectful way with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, organisations and communities.

At Helping Hands Clinton, we recognise the diverse and dynamic nature of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and histories and acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' deep connections with lands, waters and communities.

At Helping Hands Clinton, we believe that all children have the equal and equitable opportunities to exercise choices about the way in which they lead meaningful, healthy lives, including those which sustain their cultures.
