Canning Bridge Early Learning Centre

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Canning Bridge Early Learning Centre celebrates the continued significance of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander contributions in shaping a shared sense of national unity and identity and is committed to reconciliation. Our vision is a future with strong relationships between our community, the broader community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

Canning Bridge Early Learning Centre strives to serve all families in the community by providing a loving and caring environment where children will receive a high level of education. We endeavour to create a community environment that values the children’s’ culture, provides a sense of belonging and enables the children and their families to feel safe, secure and supported.

We recognise that early education is a pathway to a reconciled nation and as such we strive for all children to participate in quality early childhood education. We envisage that all our employees will acknowledge and celebrate the proud culture of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Our early learning service community is committed to learning about reconciliation in Australia and we believe that teaching the children to have an understanding of the concept, history and progress of reconciliation is an important part of continuing the reconciliation journey.

Additionally, our early learning service will provide opportunities for our employees to engage in employment and professional development, build community partnerships, and will continue to support participation of everyone including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within our Centre.
