KU Faulconbridge Children's Centre

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At KU Faulconbridge, we want to create a learning community where children, families, educators and the wider community demonstrate a genuine commitment towards respecting and supporting the self-determination of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We believe that it is in our valuing and giving commitment to strong collaborative relationships, with each other, and with our local community, that we will support a place where respect, growth and learning is fostered.

We want to be a place that encourages children to become resilient, engaged and deeply reflective learners, who have a strong sense of their identity and connection with others and the land.

We hope to support them to learn to relate to others in the spirit of acceptance and reconciliation, and to learn and acknowledge the truthful histories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, ensuring that past and present colonial injustices are not forgotten and do not continue.
