KU Bilya Gulyangarri Preschool

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

The KU Bilya Gulyangarri Preschool community acknowledges the historical injustices and inequities experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples since colonisation. We aim to actively listen to and learn the truths about our nation's histories, and hope to move forward together towards reconciliation with care, understanding and respect.

Our reconciliation journey will be founded on respect and support for Australia’s First Nations Peoples, as we continue to repair and build relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

As a preschool community, we plan to work together to promote mutually respectful and genuine relationships of shared significance. Our conversations with children will open their minds, create a respectful learning space, begin to redress past colonial injustices faced by First Peoples, and ensure that the future is a better place for all.
