The KU Bilya Gulyangarri Preschool community seek to become aware of and understand the historical injustices and inequities experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We aim to actively listen to and learn the truths about our nation's histories, and hope to move forward together towards reconciliation with care, understanding and respect.
Our reconciliation journey will be founded on respect and support for Australia’s First Nations Peoples, as we continue to repair and build relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
As a preschool community, we plan to work together to promote mutually respectful and genuine relationships of shared significance. Our conversations with children will open their minds, create a respectful learning space, begin to redress injustices faced by First Peoples and impacts on Country to ensure that the future is a better place for all.
