VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our vision for reconciliation within Jump Carey Early Development is to provide an inclusive environment, which celebrates the cultural diversity of our local and broader community along with raising awareness about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s way of life and cultural beliefs. We believe our reconciliation action plan outlines practical strategies to help educators build their knowledge and awareness of Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islanders peoples’ histories, cultures, contributions and languages respectfully into everyday practices. Reconciliation has been and continues to be an important component of Jump Carey Early Development's practices with educators, families, and children. We educate our children for the future by incorporating a sense of being, belonging and becoming at our centre.

We work in collaborative partnerships with all children, families, educators, and wider Carey community to support our reconciliation journey. We acknowledge the RAP is a continual process that will be updated regularly, as we grow individually, as a team and as a centre. This strong commitment mirrors our values and beliefs of courage, respect, humility, integrity and kindness.
