Gurumba bigi (Good Day)
We at Rosewood Early Education Centre, acknowledge the Yaggera peoples, as the Traditional Owners of the Land in which we work and play on.
We believe in historical acceptance and teaching children about the Australia's true histories through education and play. We promote a sense of belonging, understanding, acceptance and respect of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and for the Land. We acknowledge Elders, past, present and, and thank them for sharing their stories that enrich our knowledge. We acknowledge the RAP is a continual process as we continually grow and evolve.
We promote equity and equality in education outcomes and deepening our understandings of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures, perspectives, histories and contributions. We are committed to building meaningful relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to help support our understanding and continuing our journey of reconciliation and being a part of a shared national identity.
Across all levels of the service, we respectfully reflect on our knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ perspectives and histories to gain a deeper understanding of their ways of knowing and learning.
