Our vision for reconciliation here at Lowood Early Education Centre is to further embed respect for and an understanding and acknowledgment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as Australia’s First Nations peoples. We want our Educators, children and families to gain a greater understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander peoples’ cultures and histories through their perspectives in the pathways and programs that we provide.
We will provide equal and equitable opportunities to everyone, especially Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, ensuring no labels, stereotypes or disrespect are shown to any person when they come into the service. We will reach out into the community to build meaningful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and that everyone feels welcomed and included and feels a sense of belonging.
We believe that having an Australia that is reconciled is everyone's business and responsibility.
Our team of Lowood Early Education Centre we will take responsibility and steps to ensure the future leaders of this country learn from a young age, the history and the journey we have taken and are taking to creating a culturally safe environment that supports pride in a better unified Australia- that we are authentic and meaningful in how we engage and interact with reconciliation in education.
