Ipswich Early Education Centre and preschool's vision for reconciliation begins with acknowledgment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the original Owners and Custodians of Lands across Australia. Ipswich Early Education Centre acknowledges and values the cultural histories, traditions, and continuing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We are committed to teaching and educating our children, and their children, educators, and families of the importance of respect, understanding and building on our cultural awareness throughout the service and within our community. Our service plays a key role and responsibility in actively recognising that a child's connection to their culture and community is essential in building a sense of belonging. As a whole service we are committed to continuous improvement in our approach to respectfully embedding and incorporating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives into our curriculum and Educational Program. We will continue to work towards connecting and building partnerships with local communities so as to work together as one in strengthening a sense of belonging and inclusiveness within and across our service.
