Eatons Hill Community Kindergarten

Our vision for Eatons Hill Community Kindergarten is to create a culture that understands, values and respects the traditions, cultures and histories of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

We are committed to improving our knowledge of Australia’s First People and in doing so, will continuously aim to improve opportunities and outcomes for all children in our care and the wider community to which we are connected.

We want Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures to be respectfully taught about, shared and celebrated within the Kindergarten classroom and we want all children to benefit from the teachings about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. We recognise that we all have a role to play in reconciliation and believe that every child, no matter their nationality, everyone should be taught about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, histories, stories and cultures.

We are committed to our RAP outcomes and will use these to guide us on our journey towards developing a Kindergarten environment that supports, acknowledges and respects the First Peoples of Australia and the unique contributions that they make to Country, Land and the community.

Our vision aims to enrich our Kindergarten philosophy and support our goal for all children who attend Eatons Hill Community Kindergarten to have a "Love of Learning, a Love of Life and a Love of all people".
