At Albany Creek Kindergarten we believe the opportunities for reconciliation are built through relationships, respect and opportunities throughout our classrooms, our centre and our community.
We endeavor to encourage the members of our kindergarten community to develop an awareness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures as a collective and collaborative journey.
We feel it is important for staff, parents and children to be given opportunities to engage members of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and with the planning and implementation of reconciliation initiatives.
This may involve encouraging our kindergarten community to respect the environment, build positive relationships in a sustainable world and recognize and respect the rights of all.
