VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our vision is to create a connected community that welcomes and respects all its members and values Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures.

We want our children to grow rich in the knowledge of, and respect for Australia's First Nations Peoples through:

- acknowledging past wrongs and the importance of saying sorry

- sharing and building on our knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and traditions

- developing our understanding of the strong connections Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the lands, seas and skies

- developing our knowledge of how Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples engage sustainably with Country

- teaching the importance of working together through mutual truth respect and acceptance

- providing opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children to celebrate and embrace their cultures and for all children to develop pride in Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander ppeoples and cultures

- recognising Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the creators, thinkers and doers of their today and tomorrow
