VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Our vision for reconciliation is that WCC Children’s and Family Services embrace the healing process of reconciliation, in collaboration with the people of the Marr Nation to form a sense of unity, respect and belonging.

We aim to ensure that;

  • All families feel welcomed and included
  • Education occurs at all levels promoting knowledge and understanding of the local cultures and histories
  • A process of healing involving recognition of past injustices occurs
  • Genuine and respectful working relationships occur between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians.
  • Everyone is empowered to have a voice and contribute to decision making
