Belmont Kinder’s vision for reconciliation is an ongoing journey, focusing on fostering a kindergarten community that embraces and respects the ideas, dreams and inspirations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and all Australian people.
We will celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the First peoples of Australia and their cultures and histories. a We valuetheir deep connections with, and custodianship of the Land, the great Land on which we live, work and play. We will strengthen relationships with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and learn about the truth, acknowledging historical impact, so that we can heal and move forward united.
We will embrace Elders past, present and future for the wisdom and knowledge they hold and share, honouring their resilience and strength, and we will endeavour to support emerging leaders in local communities, working closely with the Wathaurong people to create an inclusive community, building respect and equality for our generation and for those generations to come.
