Goodstart Eumemmerring

Goodstart Eumemmerring's vision of reconciliation is to provide an inclusive environment that helps to build respectful and meaningful partnerships with our local Aboriginal community. Our commitment to pay our respect to the Wurundjeri people who share their Land with us where we live, play, create, and grow. Our centre aims to provide a culturally safe environment by engaging children and families which connect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people’s perspectives, beliefs, cultures, and Lands. We aim to include our centre in various national celebrations like NAIDOC Week, National Reconciliation Week, and Sorry Day. As children are tomorrow's future, we want our children to be connected to the community, building strong relationships to have an inclusive society. Our service will be a place where everyone  is valued and welcomed irrespective of different beliefs and backgrounds. We are a service where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families, and communities are respected, recognised, and nurtured. Our staff is committed to respectfully learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and beliefs by connecting to Elders of the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.

We will aim to have respectful and active partnerships with families these are crucial for the cultural safety of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.
