At SDN Bluebell, we acknowledge past injustices and their continuing impact upon Australia’s First Nations peoples. We commit to contributing to the weaving the basket of reconciliation. Our vision for reconciliation integrates our service philosophy: it takes a village to raise a child. Our vision for reconciliation in relation to children includes continuing to provide opportunities to be respectfully immersed in First Nations peoples’ cultures and histories and continue developing positive connections with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. For our team, this includes continuing to build knowledge, understanding and confidence to facilitate connections with First Nations peoples and perspectives. For families, it is to continue to share our journey towards reconciliation and involve families in sharing their own understandings and experiences.
