Our vision is to respect and acknowledge the unique connection that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have with the Land. We acknowledge our beautiful Centres are built on the Lands of the Nyangbul people of the Bundjalung Nation and pay our respects to this sharing of place where we live, learn and play together. Our services operate in ways that celebrate the diversity of Australian cultures, demonstrating values of respect and mindfulness towards the many contexts of diversity for children and their families.
We will demonstrate our commitment to reconciliation by actively recognising the Nyangbul people of the Bundjalung Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the Land on which our Centres are located and seeking to build respectful relationships with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to create a culture of understanding, mutual respect and healing. In doing so, we will work to ensure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultures and histories are recognised, celebrated and respectfully embedded throughout our learning program and environment. We are committed to looking after Country and learning Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of respecting the land, the waterways, the animals and the people.
We are dedicated to ensuring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are actively recognised for being Australia’s First Nations peoples and we are committed to gaining a deeper understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of knowing and learning.
