Our vision for reconciliation at Pebbly Beach Early Learning Centre is to advocate and unite with the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community for better inclusion, education and social outcomes for all Australians.
We acknowledge that the Worimi people are the Traditional Custodians of this Land, and we will continue to actively value the perspectives and contributions of Worimi people as part of our educational curriculum within our centre. We aim to work collaboratively with involve Worimi people to respectfully embed Worimi perspectives within our centre and program and build mutual trusting relationships to continue the ongoing recognition of First Nations Peoples cultures.
We are committed to ongoing learning, critical reflection, and engaging in long term, respectful relationships with the local Aboriginal community, the Worimi people. We encourage our children to follow in the footsteps of the Worimi people in caring for and respecting the beautiful Land on which our centre stands. We are committed to being environmentally responsible within our centre and using our influence to advocate for sustainability within our families and community.
We understand the importance of fostering both equality and equity in educational outcomes and therefore we view each child and family for who they are and how our service can meet their needs and aspirations. Our environment is organised and adapted to support every child's participation in quality experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives and promotes competence and exploration in a culturally safe environment.
