The Cubbyhouse @ Kings Langley

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Kings Langley Before and After School Care we have a vision to continue to incorporate reconciliation practices into our daily activities. While we do our best to include a variety of Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander focused activities each week, we are working towards embedding these into our activities each day to create an underlying sense of respect and understanding in our students. We hope to do this by expanding our knowledge of appropriate learning activities, as well as building relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who we can invite welcome into our classrooms to develop the children’s understanding of reconciliation even further. We hope to back up these activities even further by working with community to incorporate more visible and personal demonstrations of respect into our centre, so that the students may see the significance of reconciliation in both subtle and overt ways.
