KU - Bligh Park Preschool

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

KU Bligh Park Preschool's vision for reconciliation is to:

* Develop trust, acceptance and respect between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and other Australians

* Respect the environment - the earth, the animals, insects, trees and water.

* Take care of the Land on which we walk, grow and play.

* Listen and to respond thoughtfully, as relationships are nurtured, and stories are shared.

* Live harmoniously as we understand the perspectives and cultures of others.

"We embrace with pride, admiration and awa these great and ancient cultures we are truly blessed to have among us, cultures that are unique, uninterrupted human thread, linking our Australiancontinent to the most ancient prehistory of our planet." (Rudd 2008)
