At O’Connor Education Support Centre, we are committed to actively and meaningfully embedding and sustaining a culture that promotes cultural safety and fosters a warm and welcoming environment for all. Local language is integrated into our school community and curriculum through respectful collaboration with First Nations community members. We welcome all families into our classrooms and promote awareness and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures and true histories. We strive to ensure our students grow and learn in an environment grounded in having a personal and meaningful connection with reconciliation to help foster a sense of personal pride and positive self-image. Our current and future Leaders and Elders will help Australia become a safe, productive and reconciled country for all citizens.
