Our vision for reconciliation at Abbotsford Public School, located on the unceded Land of the Wangal people of the Eora Nation, is one in which students, staff, parents and the wider community embark together on a journey of truth-telling, recognition, understanding and healing, based on the principles set forth in the Uluru Statement from the Heart.
As educators, our goal is to contribute to a more equitable, equal and inclusive Australia; where First Nations peoples’ histories and cultures are respectfully elevated, valued and serve as a source of learning for all. We will achieve this by embedding First Nations peoples’ histories, cultures and perspectives in all aspects of our school, in order to produce future generations of Australians who take pride in and respect our unique history.
