Who We Are: Country/Place (Secondary)

overview

This set of activities support students to engage with the film Who We Are: Country/Place. The film features six young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people speaking about their connection to Country.

Their reflections are an insight into:

  • what Country means to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people

  • the complexity of the relationships they have with the land, sea, sky and waterways.

The film is a part of the Who We Are: Brave New Clan series developed by CAAMA Productions and Reconciliation Australia in partnership with Foxtel. The series follow the lives of six people who share stories about their communities, histories and cultures in contemporary Australia.

Reconciliation Australia developed this curriculum resource in partnership with Cool Australia. The activities target Years 4 to 6, however you can adapt them to suit other year levels.
