Bishop Druitt College, its Council and its community acknowledge that, for thousands of years, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have continued to live in harmony with the Lands on which our college is set. We recognise the Traditional Owners and Custodians of these Lands, the Gumbaynggirr people.
At Bishop Druitt College, we promote recognition, understanding and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their cultures, histories and contributions. We will achieve this by developing and strengthening the opportunities for, roles of, and partnerships and relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within our college community and around the Coffs Harbour region (Gumbaynggirr land). We will also seek to celebrate respectfully, value and include the wisdom and cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the learning and life of our college.
