VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Kidsclub is committed to seeking and fostering unity, equity and equality between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous Australians, believing that reconciliation is of critical importance towards a future of respect and solidarity.

As educators, we recognise the crucial role we play in helping to promote the rich histories, cultures and achievements of First Nations Peoples.

We want to continue to strengthen our skills, knowledge and attitudes through on-going learning and continued cross-cultural responsiveness and  development.

We ensure that the Early Years Learning Framework, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Perspectives pprincipleand reconciliation are embedded into the daily program in meaningful ways.

Our vision is to build mutual trust, understanding and respect with families and communities, including the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Our company is committed to ongoing learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and contemporary issues, achievements and aspirations.

Exploring issues of fairness, justice, equality and equity, we hope to develop a sense of social justice among future generations, leading to a better, fairer society in which reconciliation will thrive.

We continue to create opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to take up employment in our organisation, and to build respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, children, families, and communities.

We continue to guide all staff and children on a respectful journey of learning about First Nations cultures and heritages.
