Goodstart Underdale's vision for reconciliation is to actively acknowledge Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as Traditional Custodians of Lands across Australia. As individuals and as a team, we will commit to educating ourselves and our wider community. We will do so by learning, unlearning and relearning alongside the community. We are committed to modelling respect and acknowledging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures through our daily practices, environment and experiences. We will move forward to continuing to work in partnerships with the local community and establish equitable learning environments. We aim to embed effective respectful and reciprocal practices and make them our norm. In turn, for our children we aim to organically and respectfully support them to develop their own knowledge of the living cultures, histories and languages of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and ensure all children are provided with opportunities that foster equality, equity and respect.
