Happy Hearts Academy ELC

VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

Palya Bunji- Welcome friends from the Dharawal Country.

Happy Hearts would like to invite all people from the Illawarra and Woodi Woodi Clan to be a part of our Happy Hearts family. We want to develop a space that celebrates all cultures including the Woodi Woodi culture, tradition and history. To achieve this, we want to make strong connections with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders, to help guide and educate the teachers, children and families about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and traditions.

We are motivated to ensure that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples can come into our service and feel connected to Happy Hearts through resources and inclusive practices. It is highly important to us to develop an Indigenous Policy to create a home away from home for all cultures.

This is our way to ensure that we are fostering respectful partnerships with the Woodi Woodi people of Dharawal Country
