Our vision for reconciliation at the Learning Sanctuary Mary Street is an Australia that embraces unity between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and all Australians and for our centre to acknowledge and respect the cultures and contributions that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples make to Australia.
As educators we do this by supporting our childcare community to develop a deeper understanding and knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultural heritages and continuing contributions. We include this deepening knowledge into programming, learning and education for our entire Centre. We continue building stronger relationships with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community.
