VISION FOR RECONCILIATION

At Nido Early School, Carlisle, our vision for reconciliation is:

  • To make visible our service’s respect for the Whadjuk people as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the Town of Victoria Park area.
  • To promote recognition of, and respect for, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, and days/events of significance.
  • To actively acknowledge the Traditional Owners daily.
  • To ensure that our curriculums respectfully reflect children's developing knowledge and understanding relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and cultures through intentional teaching, experiences, conversations and community involvement within our program.
